Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 6, 2026

This policy explains how Product Statement Builder handles personal information when you use this website and the free positioning worksheet.

At a glance

  • The builder runs in your browser. Statement text you type is not intentionally stored on our servers.
  • Analytics cookies and optional measurement only turn on after you accept analytics.
  • We do not send statement fields, generated statements, clipboard contents, or share URL field values to analytics.
  • You can change analytics consent from the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

1. Scope and contact

Product Statement Builder is responsible for this website. This policy applies when you visit productstatement.com, use the builder, copy statement text, generate a share URL, export a card, or contact us.

For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@productstatement.com. For general support, email support@productstatement.com.

2. Information we handle

Statement content

The text you enter into the builder is processed locally in your browser for editing, preview, copy, share URL generation, and card export. We do not intentionally store that statement text server-side.

If you create a share URL, your field values are included in the URL fragment so the statement can be reopened by someone with that link. Anyone you share that URL with can read those values.

Site and support information

We may receive basic technical information from hosting and network logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and error data. If you email us, we receive the email address and message content you choose to send.

Cookies and analytics

We store your analytics preference in local browser storage. Google Tag Manager may load with analytics storage denied by default. If you accept analytics cookies, we measure page views using sanitized page paths through analytics tags configured in Google Tag Manager.

See the Cookie Policy for details about analytics cookies and how to change your preference.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate the website, keep the builder working, diagnose errors, respond to messages, protect the site from misuse, comply with legal obligations, and understand broad page-level usage when analytics consent has been granted.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for optional analytics, legitimate interests for site reliability and security, necessity to provide the website you request, and legal obligations where applicable.

4. Sharing and providers

We do not sell personal information and do not use advertising personalization. We may share limited information with hosting, infrastructure, security, and support providers that help operate the website. Google advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization consent remain denied.

Google Tag Manager may load with analytics storage denied by default. If you accept analytics cookies, Google may receive analytics data through tags configured in Google Tag Manager. Analytics does not include your statement text, generated output, clipboard contents, or share URL field values.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Providers may process information in countries other than yours under their own applicable safeguards.

5. Retention and security

Because statement text is not intentionally stored server-side, we do not retain submitted statement text on our servers. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and manage the request. Hosting logs are retained by infrastructure providers for security and reliability.

Analytics event data retention is configured in the analytics tools connected through Google Tag Manager. Your cookie consent preference remains in local browser storage until you change it, clear browser storage, or we update the consent version.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for a small public website, but no internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Your choices and rights

You can accept, reject, or withdraw analytics consent at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to the builder.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information about you. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator. To make a request, email privacy@productstatement.com.

7. Children and third-party services

Product Statement Builder is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

This website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Browser extensions, clipboard destinations, exported files, and people who receive your share URLs may process your content independently of Product Statement Builder.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the effective date above. If a change affects analytics consent, we may ask you to choose your cookie preference again.
